An in-home evaluation is necessary for selecting heating and cooling equipment. A knowledgeable, trained contractor will calculate many factors to properly size the system, including square footage; R-value of the insulation; the number, size, and orientation of windows; the condition of the duct system; and the customer’s preferences. This can only be done with an on-site inspection.
